ASUS today announced that ASUS Blade received Health Sciences Authority (HSA) approval as a Class B In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) medical device in January 2026, making the AI-powered peripheral blood film analysis software officially available for clinical use in Singapore laboratories.
Co-developed with Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital under NHG Health, ASUS Blade leverages real-world local clinical data to support WBC differential, RBC morphology grading, platelet estimation, and tele-hematology for remote case reviews.
By automating pre-classification of routine blood film cases, ASUS Blade streamlines hematology workflows and helps medical technologists focus on complex and abnormal cases.
Designed as a collaborative tool, it supports laboratory efficiency while ensuring that final clinical interpretation and sign-out remain under the supervision of qualified professionals.
