The Coalition for Health AI has launched a new Health AI Cybersecurity Work Group that will meet biweekly to build playbooks and develop a frontier artificial intelligence cyber-risk assessment tool that could help health systems, payers and health tech companies defend against potential AI attacks.
The reality is that hospitals, health systems, provider organizations, health plans and tech vendors cannot keep pace with these threats alone.
Health-ISAC has been on the frontline of collaboration and timely information sharing of information security across the sector.
"As AI rapidly transforms our industry, it also brings new speed, scale and sophistication to cyberthreats," he said in the CHAI announcement. "On the ground in a health system – particularly in underserved and lower-resourced communities – it suggests a new playbook is needed."
