HIMSS announces initiative to measure impact of AI in healthcare

刊登時間

HIMSS and five healthcare organisations in the Asia-Pacific region have signed a memorandum of understanding for the HIMSS AI Outcomes Framework, an initiative to develop what HIMSS describes as the world's first longitudinal, multi-institutional framework to measure AI's impact, value and return on investment in healthcare.

The MOU, signed earlier today during the HIMSS26 APAC Conference in Singapore, names Asan Medical Center and Seoul National University Hospital in South Korea; Taichung Veterans General Hospital in Taiwan; and National University Hospital and SingHealth in Singapore as founding healthcare members.

The founding members will contribute insights and expertise on AI adoption and outcomes, participate in framework development and validation, and support the collection of data and other information relevant to the project.

HIMSS will serve as the governing member of the initiative, overseeing its management, member contributions, outputs and relationships among participating organisations.
