A maturing AI governance model is pushing Samsung Medical Center in South Korea closer to becoming an AI-driven smart hospital.
The hospital has recently been revalidated at Stage 7 of the HIMSS Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM).
SMC was first validated at the highest stage of the EMRAM in 2023.
Three years later, validators observed that the hospital's enterprise AI governance, led by the Office of AX, had evolved into a maturing model that brings digital and AI transformation under clear clinical and technical leadership, backed by substantial investment in data platform and infrastructure.
