Highlights of Workload Reduction
1. The time required for emergency department nurses to administer controlled drugs was reduced by 65.6%.
2. The time required for emergency tray medication replacement was reduced by 52.6% on the clinical end and 43.5% on the administrative end.
3. The working time of emergency department pharmacists was reduced by 71.9%.
In 2024, our hospital launched the new Healthcare Information System-5 (HISS). Taking this opportunity,we optimized the systems that manage the medication administration workflow in our emergency department with the following strategies:
1. Emergency tray replacement management platform
2. Introduction of automated dispensing cabinets
3. Special medication management system
