Taipei Medical University Hospital
Based on the concepts of effectiveness, fast, convenience, and safety, the hospital uses the smart medicine management system to accurately monitor where and how much medicine is used in the hospital and the expiration date of medicine. The system is connected to the hospital information system to simplify the process from medicine procurement, dispensing, delivery, to administration. The system is connected to the information system using barcodes to improve the immediacy and accuracy of medicine administration. This allows the hospital to achieve the goal of five zeros: zero waiting time, zero counter points, zero walking, zero drug returns, and zero errors.
