The tech company has created earrings that it says can track wearers’ real-time blood flow to help them identify patterns and conditions characterized by episodic symptoms, such as dizziness and brain fog, that may be missed as vitals such as heart rate and blood pressure read as normal.

The device houses Lumia’s second-generation “PreciseLight” sensor along with processors, a battery, and additional sensors. Lumia’s with the goal of helping patients with chronic blood flow disorders such as Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) and long COVID. Blood flow affects energy, focus, and mental clarity, insights that can be beneficial for everyone, the company said. The device also tracks data related to other things like sleep, temperature, and menstrual cycle.
