To deal with the issue, NHS Scotland will be rolling out a wearable ECG device that improves diagnosis and also helps in monitoring serious patients for a longer period.
It will help in diagnosing and curing patients with severe symptoms like heart palpitations, dizziness, and more.
The wearable ECG Patch, named “Patch and Go,” is a pulse rate monitor that will help in reducing wait time for patients at the hospital and give better results.
On February 11, the pilot program for the device will start at the West of Scotland Innovation Center in NHS Greater Glasgow and Cycle, continuing till November.
The hospital monitors the patient's health virtually for seven to fourteen days.
During the period of 7-14 days, the patch completes its diagnostic test, and the results are given to the patient.
ECG patch monitor is expected to save more than $19 million and ease hospital pressure in the upcoming five years.
